Marcus Camby's 5x5 vs. Utah — January 9, 2004

Marcus Camby delivered one of the great defensive box scores of the 2003-04 NBA season, recording 8 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 8 blocked shots as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Utah Jazz 106-96.

Camby's Remarkable 5x5

On January 9, 2004, Marcus Camby filled the box score with one of the most unusual defensive performances of his career. The Denver center recorded a 5x5 while helping the Nuggets defeat the Utah Jazz 106-96 at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

Camby finished with 8 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 8 blocked shots in 33 minutes. He shot 4-of-10 from the field and remarkably did not commit a turnover despite contributing five assists.

The performance easily met the requirements for a 5x5, which requires a player to record at least five points, five rebounds, five assists, five steals and five blocks in the same game. Camby's eight blocks were particularly impressive and helped Denver finish with 11 blocked shots as a team.

Camby was not Denver's leading scorer, but his defense and all-around production were crucial. Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points, Nenê added 25 and Andre Miller finished with 18 points and 7 assists as Denver earned the 10-point victory.
