Kirilenko Does It Again
Only one week after producing a 5x5 against the Houston Rockets,
Andrei Kirilenko delivered another remarkable all-around
performance. On December 10, 2003, the Utah forward reached at
least five in all five major statistical categories during a
95-73 victory over the New York Knicks at the Delta Center.
Kirilenko played 36 minutes and finished with 10 points,
12 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals and 5 blocked shots. He made
4 of 12 field-goal attempts and both of his free throws while
helping Utah control the game defensively.
The performance was particularly remarkable because Kirilenko
had recorded another 5x5 only eight days earlier, on December 3
against Houston. His ability to accumulate rebounds, assists,
steals and blocks made him one of the NBA's most versatile
defensive players of the era.
