Kirilenko Records a 5x5
On December 3, 2003, Andrei Kirilenko filled nearly every column of
the box score during Utah's overtime game against Houston at the
Toyota Center. In 46 minutes, Kirilenko scored 19 points while
collecting 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 8 steals and 5 blocked shots.
A 5x5 occurs when a player records at least five points, five
rebounds, five assists, five steals and five blocks in the same
game. Kirilenko comfortably reached all five marks and nearly
produced an even more unusual statistical performance, finishing
only two steals short of a triple-double.
Despite Kirilenko's defensive performance, Houston recovered from
a 13-point first-quarter deficit and eventually defeated Utah
107-101 in overtime. Cuttino Mobley led the Rockets with 32 points,
while Yao Ming added 20 points and 8 rebounds.

Game Notes
Utah jumped out to a 28-15 advantage after the first quarter, but
Houston responded by winning the second quarter 29-15. The Jazz
held a four-point advantage entering the fourth quarter before the
Rockets tied the game and forced overtime.
Houston controlled the extra period 13-7 to earn the victory.
Mobley's 32 points were the game high, while Kirilenko, Matt
Harpring and Steve Francis each scored 19.
The result dropped Utah to 10-7 while Houston improved to 10-7.
Kirilenko's unusual combination of scoring, passing, rebounding,
steals and shot blocking made the game one of the most notable
all-around individual box scores of the 2003-04 NBA season.
